Psalm 104 introduction (verses 1-9)

Foundations of the Earth

Moving on to verse 5 then,

Psa 104:5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for the Ohlam and beyond (the millennial reign of Christ and beyond)

The spirit through Isaiah explains to us the nature of this founding:

Isa 28:16 Therefore thus saith Yahweh Elohim, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

That stone is Christ… “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Apoc 13:8). He is the “author and finisher” (Heb 12:2), the “Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending” (Apoc 1:8). Please come with me to Hebrews 1:

Heb 1:10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

Here the political heavens and earth are described as “waxing old and perishing”. There have been several such Heaven and earth’s in existence already, these are termed “the worlds” in Heb 11:3, composing of: the Noahic, the Mosaic, the Gentile, and the Millennial (2 Peter 3, Luke 21:24). The Noahic was destroyed by the flood of water, the Mosaic was destroyed by the fire of the Cheruvim at AD 70, we are currently in the times of the gentiles. Soon our current heavens and earth will be replaced with the millenial heavens and earth, and these are the subject of Psa 104:5, that “should not be removed forever”.

The context of Hebrews 1 is given in the second verse, “Hath in THESE last days spoken unto US by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds”. These last days, were the last days of the mosaic heavens and earth-the last days of Judah’s commonwealth-last days before the Roman armies flood down from the four corner of the empire to “darken the sun, and the moon”, and “cast the stars from heaven” (Mat 24). The Scribes and Pharisees, the wicked husband men of Yahweh’s vinyard, who “slew the heir”, were “destroyed” and the apostles were given in their place to “render him the fruits in their seasons” (Mat 21).
