Going back to Psa 104 and moving on to the second verse. We don’t have the time to go through every verse in as much detail as the first, as much as I would love to. But I would encourage you to go and fill in the gaps for yourselves when you have some spare time:
Psa 104:2 Who art covering thyself with light as with a garment: who art stretching out the heavens like a curtain:
The word “covering” is first used in Lev 13:45, where the leper was required to cover his lip and shout “unclean, unclean, unclean”. Here, the opposite is the case, the bride of Christ purged from her leprous, and clothed in light, call out day and night “Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of armies”.
The Hebrew for curtain here is generally used for the curtains of the ecclesial tabernacle, with very few exceptions. Please come with me to Isaiah 54, where we find a lovely explanation of our verse:
Isa 54:1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith Yahweh.
:2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
:3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
When Christ returns, the ecclessia will see a great increase in numbers, as Israel are once again gathered to him. They will look on him whom they pierced and mourn (Zech 12:10), there hearts will be renewed and turned with hearts like unto Abraham, Isaac and Israel (Luke 1:17).
This expanding will not cease: till the stone power, of Daniel 2, has expanded and filled the whole earth (Dan 2:35); till the all things have been put under our lords feet (Heb 2); and until the throne of Apocalypse 20 has expanded and fills the earth, there is no more sea nations. Yah willing, it will be our privilege to help teach those who want to learn the ways of our Father… are we preparing ourselves now?
